When do we draw the line?

with the soweto incident about a 17 year old mentally challenged teenage girl been gang raped by 7 boys last week, two debates were arised by thess incidents. Are women the weaker sex to always be the victims of sexual abuse? And the question about parenting? what really surprised me was during my Media Class were one guy said we as girls have adopted the habbit of sleeping over our boyfriends houses without our parents consent.

Then i asked myself are we gonna be blamed for everything that endagers our lives, it was about the two girls who were chased by the taxi drivers at noord in johannesburg, people argued that the two girls asked for it. Why is that everytime our rights are being violeted as women  by the opposite sex and the answers is alawys the asked for it? When are we gonna draw the line?

    1. this is the stereotypes which are accepted by the opposite sex and use force to implement them to others, it is just rude to call people names because of their dress

  4. I think this also happens to men.Last week two women in Soweto also found guilty for raping a 17year old boy who is mentally ill. This incident occured a week after the incident of a gang rape.

    1. this goes to show how violation of rights has become a problem in our country, how are we gonna survive this world of labels? everything in SA is being labelled

  5. which then brings us to the question wether cloths define us? i think with all the stereotypes we face these days it is best that we represent our selves in a best way so that we could avoid such incidents because as people we have dofferent interpretations on society, life and people behaviour

  7. There is so much behind the story it is just that we cannot seem to understand the whole thing because of the way the media is framing the situation.

    1. my concern is about how people will just have a negative comment about every bad thing that happens to women as say "she deserved it" it is wrong nobody deserve to be punished because of her sex
